You cannot spell epicurian without epic. Lef is most certainly both.
P.S. When I first read the title of the thread... I thought it meant A virgin wanted to anally fist AN apple.

So lemme get this straight... Virgin Interactive's come up with the idea to do the same thing that Valve, Microsoft, Nintendo, Codemasters, Sega, Popcap, Wild Tangent, Manifesto and a whole slew of other companies have been doing for years. And they call this innovation how, exactly?

Kinda like how when the Zune came out to break iPod's monopoly on the "iPod Market" riddle me that one Bat-manWell, the difference there is that there actually are some innovative features in the Zune (whether they work well, or are even of value is a completely different discussion). Zune's not trying to re-invent the iPod...
According to the article Lef posted, it sounds like Virgin thinks they've come up with some revolutionary idea to *gasp* download games through some kind of service! OMG, I never woulda thought of doing that! Maybe I'll call it Direct2Drive... wait, that's taken. Hrm, I know, I'll call it Steam... hrm, that's taken too. What about Live Marketplace? Taken too? Damn. Coming up with the idea to "do for PC games what iTunes has done for music" is hardly a new idea. And without some information on what they're doing that's actually *new*, I don't think this can even qualify as news.

maybe they want sum sort of Virgin Anti-IPod that you can play Halo 2 or Crysis on. raises all sorts of questions tho.
