When I was a young lad I wanted a Lego Space 2000 Monorail more than anything in the world but it cost 200 dollars and my parents couldn't/wouldn't buy it for me. So I saved and I saved with allowance and scrounging over the course of a year(maybe longer) and finally came up with 200 dollars. Then came the day when we went to Toys R Us to buy the set. I was all happy and they even had some of the set on display in a glass case. So we tell them I want to buy the monorail and they tell me it's
DISCONTINUED
and they will not ever get it in again. On top of that I wasn't able to buy the display either.
Thus my childhood dreams were crushed and I turned to a life of crime, gambling addiction and hard drinking.
you're still using a CRT monitor, fail!

I was going to comment on the half finished lego DS2 in the picture in the "show us your desktop" thread, but I never got around to taking a picture of my own desktop, with the finished DS2 in the background... the Star Destroyer around the corner... and the X-Wing, Y-Wing, Blockade Runner, Naboo Fighter, Tie Interceptor, and Tie Advanced on top of the bookcases... and the AT-ST still on the ground because I have nowhere to put it. (Yoda, the Darth Maul bust and the Snowspeeder are downstairs.)
Yes, I have all the Ultimate Collectors Series Star Wars Lego sets. <_<

Cans of compressed air work wonders at cleaning dust off lego models, duh.

Oh my gosh, you actually use canned air for its intended purpose?
Sykes
02-14-2007, 12:21 PM
There's a use for compressed air other than turning it upside-down and spraying it at your coworkers?
I'm confused ...
Lefiel
02-14-2007, 02:17 PM
i spray it into a towel and sniff it.

Most standard computer supply and office supply stores will carry them in stock.

Or, if you can't find it in the local Swedish computer and office stores, you can order some off of ThinkGeek. They ship internationally.

Sadly, on the order page:
Shipping Restrictions:
We cannot ship this item
outside of the U.S.I imagine it has something to do with cans of compressed air and unpressurized cargo compartments in planes. BOOM.

i hunt them down with a SPAS 12 pump action shotgun
Didnt think it was pump action.
Doesnt SPAS= Special Purpose Automatic Shotgun?
Could be totally wrong, dont know much about guns:confused:
Claymoore
02-15-2007, 07:43 AM
There are very few automatic shotguns in the world Beo, and most of those never got past the prototype stage.
But yes the abbreviation does stand for automatic. But it isnt. ^^
It is actually a gas operated semi-auto or pump action depending on how you set it.
Claymoore
02-15-2007, 08:52 AM
Beo, you got me curious so i did some checking up.
Found one fully automatic thats actually in serial production.
Its just rare as hell in the states because of the classification.

Heh I remember the USAS-12 being in Rainbow Six: RvS alongside the SPAS-12. Some of the more BS co-op servers would give you unlimited ammo (255 shots), and access to the USAS-12, so ppl would run around with the fire button held down and constantly blast stuff. Fun times!

Oh damn man, very nice. I always loved legos. They were the shit. The biggest thing I ever built though was the Millenium Falcon. Sadly like a couple months ago I dropped it and it broke into pieces >< So yeah I got owned Q_Q Didn't bother to rebuild due to the fact that some pieces are missing, dunno how, but oh well.
