That was a great movie.

Umm, if you havent seen the Departed yet, i hate you.

Yesterday 3 great looking movies came out in theaters: 300, Reno 911, and 23.

Oddly enough, if you add those movie number up, you get 1,234. There is a 23 right in the middle of that.... THE MOVIE IS COMING ALIVE!

go see 300 or get shot in the face with a Barret M82a1 .50 caliber.

13 looks soooooooooooooooooo stupid.

"46 chromosomes, 23 from each parent"

"23 2/3 is 666, sign of the devil"

Hahahaha Fruedian slip?

And yeah, that whole number 23 thing is way too much of a stretch for me. Seems to me like they're trying to ride on 24's thunder. Wasn't the number "666" introduced in a movie to begin with, and actually isn't any kind of unholy number?

Revelations 13:18

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

I know the 666 is the devil's number. Its also the sign of imperfection. But the point is taking everything 23 23 23 23 23 is so stupid.

At 9% on rotten tomatoes the number 23 is tied with Norbit. also a personal favorite review quote:

"Julius Caesar was stabbed 23 times. Charles Manson was born Nov. 12 (11 + 12 = 23). The Mayans believed the world would end on Dec. 23, 2012 (20 + 1 + 2 = 23). My brother stole my pogo stick when I was 23 and broke it into 23 pieces."

I don't care if the movie itself is shitty, i have always liked numerology, so im sure i'll find something interesting in it.

Also, i was born in December and therefor i have the astrological sign Sagitarius. In Sagitarius, there lies an open cluster, which was named Messier --->23<---...
coincidence? doubtful.

Oh and the --->23rd<--- moon of jupiter is named Carme.... a little to close to Carmi, if you ask me.... she- devil.

Yeah, well, I turn 23 this year and was born in Michael's city in the Year he first won MVP (I think Q_Q pretty sure that was '84). My mom was born in the same state as he was. My birthday is 6 days before the 23'd (OMG 6! 666!). this year, 2007, if you take the difference of 10-07 and add it to 20 is 23! omg!!! Anyways, the premise of this movie is fucking ridiculous.

Just something to note: Maine was the 23rd state admitted into the Union, and is clearly the root of all evil. The country would be better off donating it to canada.

I didn't like that movie so much. At least not from an entertainment perspective. It was just really boring and not all too funny. However, i will give the director and writer credit for making a strong movie. I really really really liked how the van represented their family.

Dude, never said it wasn't a good move. I love the cinematography and directing of it... i just... didn't like the lolicon ending of a 10 year old acting like a whore. It was amusing and it made me facepalm with a "FUCK i should have seen it coming" but after the first 30 minutes of the dance scene, i didn't need to see anymore.

Edit: Zodiac was long, slow moving, but incredibly fascinating. I wonder how much the director took liberty with modifying real events, but some scenes were just in-freaking-tense. IE: basement scene, where 99% of the audience thought that dude was the zodiac and was going to kill him.

little miss sunshine was a very good movie, and its a very funny scene. for many reasons that scene is perfect. you just have bad taste in movies. you thought epic movie was the funniest movie you have ever seen in like 5 years so i dont have any respect for your movie opinion.

Just watched The Illusionist. It's pretty much a love story of a peasant who falls for the hot aristocratic chick. It ends with a pretty cool twist. I enjoyed it a lot.

I haven't seen the illusionist, but i did see the prestige. Final showdown of wolverine + batman = amazing.

All right. The family itself is so bad off. And their entire lives are going to shit, but they are still a family and they keep going. In that bus is their entire lively hood, and they take a huge risk going to this beauty pageant because they believe Olive can win. She doesn't fit in, and the entire movie sets up that this dance sequence will win her the entire thing, turning their shitty luck around. Instead the Grandpa taught her ridiculous moves to Super Freak. And the point is, none of matters, they have each other.

Why do you complain about that scene being ridiculous/lame/overdone? I don't get it. Earlier in the movie they stole their Grandpa's dead body from a hospital out of a window and into the back of their car. It still stands you liked Epic Movie like a good good movie and not a bad good movie.

Also Grindhouse this Friday.

Yeah I got the feeling the producers (and Sam Raimi) wanted to end Spiderman on #3 and not have it drag on and on like Alien or Terminator. Which is too bad, because I saw them try to compact two perfectly good standalone movies into one!

Anyway Spidey 3 was full of a lot of "WTF" and "OMG" moments, for sure! Plus Raimi's trademark CLOMP *zoom to face*, CLOMP *zoom closer to face*. HAHHAA I'm definitely buying it to round out my Spidey collection on DVD!

I think they could of done Sandman + Harry in this movie and Venom in the next... instead of stuffing it to the point where the movie made almost no sense... and felt like there were too many emotions being thrown around.
