I don't know what it's like to not be Shadow lol. I always run with a holy/disc. priest so I was told to go shadow and that's what I've been doing since I levelled up ... they made me go to Kara the very weekend I hit 70 x_x (it helps that I actually enjoy that more than healing too XD). Now I'm too invested in Shadow (shadoweave taloring etc. blah blah) to go to anything else ... though I'm starting to accumulate a nice set of healing loot that would otherwise get DE'd. Cloth seems to like to drop a lot for us. Leather drops a lot too, but only when Mike is on his Shaman.

I really have no idea if I can heal or not. In Shadow Spec, I have all of 1 healing spell that is useful ... anything other than Flash Heal usually takes too long to cast if I'm pretending to be a main healer, and I can't down-rank because my top tier Flash Heal sucks enough to start with (I'm still only sitting at +1124 healing on my healing set). For me, "healing" just means clicking the bar of the person getting hit then waiting for the spell to cast and repeating with a few Dispels or Abolish Diseases thrown in (ok, not quite that simple, but you get the idea). That said, I can still keep people alive when I need to.

I don't really care about gear because with dps tailoring epics, with a few exceptions, I'm in pretty good shape for a long long while. T4 and T5 suck for dps so I'll be spending the tokens on the healing set, and even T6 is questionable for Shadow Priest. That said, it's going be a long long long long LONG while before I have to worry about that because for some god-forsaken reason Mike and Sylvar decided to roll on a RP server where people would rather debate WoW lore in the Trade channel than actually kill stuff. The top guilds (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=67247611&sid=1&pageNo=1) on our server are just now clearing Magtheridon's Lair for the first time. Still, despite being behind the curve, I guess I'm not doing too terrible given that I've only been 70 for less than 2 months (my first character to reach raiding levels ... I've never seen MC or BWL blah blah). Plus I'm having fun.

My char is on an old server where my friends used to play before they server hopped to korgath. Most of them are in Drama and a few went to DnT.
So I kinda made new ones and were slowly progressing. It's kinda fun when I only have 4 hours a night to do something.

Heh... Sykes almost has as much +heal as I do... but I haven't seen whitemend patterns drop yet. I also don't have anything enchanted pretty much. I was respec'd and in kara the day after I dinged 70 XD. Came home from work and my friend was playing my priest. +heal is overrated... mana/5sec is where it's at. I'll be happy when I'm at ~1600 healing. Need to modify my spec anyway.

The T4 and T5 pieces spend a much larger portion of their item budget on stats rather than +damage, so they're good for stamina fights, but they're still pretty easily replacable.

Yeah, t4 and t5 would be better for a pvp situation, but if you're raiding for pvp gear... lol. Arena gear afaik is better than t4 for a stamina fight. I want the arena set for priest... weakened soul -2sec woo! I'm almost always 1-3 sec too early to reapply bubble while trying to survive an encounter XD

That post was before they said "Lol jk were going to buff every damn epic in the game." Hence my hammer going from 88.1 to 91.1 dps and the heroic rewards loot getting buffed.

I do enjoy exploiting my friend's priest having 7k spirit with spiritual guidance and smiting for 5k crits.

well, hmm... based on sykes' pic, i found sikas.. there's only 3 on armory. he's the only 70. then i looked at the guild <Rede>. upon scrutinization of your screenshot, one could discern that you were a gnome warlock in the aforementioned guild. One can also discern that your name is rather short. Now... you're running around with a felguard... Could you perhaps be demonology spec? A quick glance at each of the gnomish locks in your guild would show me that there is only ONE lv.70 demonology lock in the guild who has reached the pinacle of that tree! So there you have it, Vebran of Cenarion Circle server!!!

I had 1200 + healing on my holy/disc spec priest when I was lv 60 before the xpax. I would out heal almost any other priest on my server "Blackhand" without overheals.
And shadow spec Priest are reallly worth having in raids as a DPS. When I was shadow spec I could DPS Gruul for very short fights, but anything over 5 mins and I was out of mana durability, Had about +700 shadow, could get way more with enchants. Get 2 shadow Priest and rock it.

I quit playing when I found out that I could get out healed by a damn Druid! Druid get all the gear, tanking, DPS, healing, ect... What good is it to have a Priest when Druid would have better + healing gear than a Priest which job was to just heal. If you want to dps play Mage or Warlock. Everyone wants a Mage they are always welcomed.

The last thing I remembered killing before I quit was Gruul sometime back in March.

Well, if you're not playing with friends from out of game, and you're trying to get in a top raiding guild, yeah, that really sucks. But I kinda enjoy healing as priest, and I get a good spot in the raid. :P We're about to go "serious" and start recruiting, since we've cleared kara. And I have about 600 +dmg on my dps set, which will apparently be increasing in the next patch, since my staff got a nice boost ^O^. Hurray for raid slag!

Yeah, they were really sad... now everyone wants them. It's a good thing I took whatever I could get lol. I don't have much time to run dungeons, let alone heroics (I'm only keyed for about half), and I was thrown into healing without a reasonable healing set. So I took what I could get, besides my MC set, which is getting buffed even FURTHER. I haven't seen any pics of priest t4 upgrades though... anyone know what the deal with the healer set is? Mainly interrested in the gloves. I'll more than likely spend the other tokens on the dps set.

All of the T4 got buffed 15 item levels making it the same item level that T5 is currently ... T5 and T6 got similar buffs.

Shadow Priest set is still disappointing compared to crafted sets, but given my general disgust for PvP, I'm reconsidering getting it anyway for stamina fights since most of the tailoring set pieces spend most of their item budgets for +damage at the cost of stamina and intellect.

I pick up a free +38 heal on my gear as it stands now lol. If I had the prince or maiden hammer already, it would be double that though @_@.
