I'm installing TF2 now (pre-load), and waiting for the beta to open still.


They say another hour or so and it'll be open.

Ok, this game is INCREDIBLE!

Medic is now the bestest support job yay! Plus they have in-game achievements so you have stuff to shoot for with each class.

I just spent a couple hours playing Medic, Engineer and Soldier, and I gotta say it seems like the jobs all have their strengths and weaknesses. HW guy seems "invincible" especially with a medic support, but a Soldier can easily wax a HW guy with 4 or 5 rockets while avoiding most of his fire. 2 HW guys can just own a HW guy + medic support in a matter of seconds.

Turrets are incredibly fast on the pickup and aim, so you can't just run circles around them like you used to with Scout and Medic. Dispensers automatically heal/deliver ammo to anyone in the radius, plus Engineers can create Teleporters for fast deployment.

Spy can cloak/decloak now, which helps a lot for when you need to try to escape after a quick backstab. And yeah backstab is still a 1-shot kill haha!


I have yet to figure out how to "Rocket jump" - if you still have to do it manually/create a script/keybind for it, or if you can secondary fire to make it work. I'm all gassed out and gonna pass out!

medic has always been the best class. they just can do it all. i've never played team fortress for quake but TFC for half-life was awesome. hands down the best half-life mod ever. CS ain't got shit on TFC. 8-)

Spent all night playing TF2 even though I was supposed to pass out. Thank god I trained my body to stay up all night so I could do this, ohoho~

I watched some really incredibly good spies tear apart my formidable turret/dispenser/teleport destination setup with ease. It's harsh how a good spy can decloak/plant sappers/cloak again before the engineer can react. Ugh.


And the medic/HW with invincible is perfect. 4 turrets and 3 rocket guys? Nooooo problem, go invincible haha!

hehe sounds fun. engineers in tfc were fun as hell too. gotta love emp grenade spamming and killing 6 people at a time.

I'll consider this when HL2:E2 comes out. Sounds like a crapton of fun but as it is right now, Steam is acting like a piece of crap on my computer because I can't seem to get any servers to show up after 2 refreshes(if I manage to get the 2 in the first place.)

I try this game for a bit on 360 but didn't quite get why people liked it so much. Halo 3 seemed more fun to me anyway.

Gears of War > Halo 3

TF2 is for people who like to be team oriented and such. Halo is for people who like the classic "spray and pray" methods of killing.

I have to say halo 3 is pretty fun to play, but sometimes it gets annoying. I cant wait to get guitar hero 3 this week and play it!! If anyone gets it and wants to play some coop sometime add me on xbox live (or halo 3) Gamertag: I Sizzerb I (those are capital i's). My old gamertag use to be Bountykilla but i got banned for playing halo 3 pre-release so...

and oro... while gears of war is a really good game, online multiplayer is flawed beyond a point where you can have fun if you are good at the game. The lag is just horrible and the game becomes mostly having to guess where to shoot at. Moment i got halo 3, i put gears of war back into its case and never opened it again lol
