I should have took some pictures but I forgot like always. Too busy kiting him. I don't think i ever remember to take pictures on any of the wyrms.
If I remember correctly Tiamat and Jorm are the two wyrms that fall to the ground...

My guess is that this is because Vrtra can't fly. Tiamat, Jorm and Ouryu are the only mobs in the game that can fly out of reach and are the only ones I've seen that "fall to the ground".
Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing as Cyrus. I think you can't kill a wyrm out of the air so they made it that way in case HP went to 0 in mid air or something for when it lands? Or maybe it force lands, but that's still an action after HP hitting 0.
