Satellite TV

I guess I'll post this question since nobody seems to be posting ANYTHING!

Ok whats better? Dish Network, or Direct TV? I'm not sure what to get, they both have free equip, and installation, but it seems Direct TV has better HD lineup. But I'm not sure. Right now I think I'll get Direct TV, for the HD stuff since I want to get the most out of my TV... So whats everybody think? I never had satellite TV before I have always had Cable, so this stuff is all new to me.

PS: Its Bullshit you have to pay for Local Channels!!

I dunno about which one is better, but my family uses DirecTV and they seem to like it just fine. I'm sure you won't notice a significant difference between the two, but since you're talking about DirecTV having better HD support then you might as well go with them.

Why the sudden need to go satellite though? Cable not cutting it?

Well depends on where you live. If you live in an apartment building, you might wanna stick with cable since you can't always get a signal. If you live in a house, hell I still would go with cable. The reason being is that weather affects your signal so if you live in a place with alot of rain/snow etc it would prolly crap out on you alot.

Hey, this is Meikonaro (I have the hardest time logging on the same computer as Zilent, so I'm brainjacking his post). Anyway! I had Direct TV when I lived in Missouri, and it was pretty nice. Except when we had a weather advisory of some sort... which happens alot out there. I never had a problem with it when it was clear outside. I can't comment on Dish Network, since I've never had it.

I have DishNetwork, and live in St.Louis and from my experience unless the weather is supremely bad, I have a signal. I had cable from Charter when I lived in an apartment, and got tired of dealing with their service centre and horrendous customer service.

Of course in those times of severely bad weather, like when everything is covered in ice and you get no signal on your dish

... you sometimes wish you had cable.

I always lived in apartments so I always had cable, but now I'm moveing and have a choice to ditch Cable. I live in Cali so there is only bad weather just a few weeks out of the year (Raining today but not that bad)

I will meet up with you guys next time! Unless it falls on like Monday, because thats my weekly shower... or Tuesday Because I work that day.... or Wednesday I go out with the Woman... or Thursday Because Smallville is on that day!... or Friday because I stalk the girl down the street that day.... or Saturday because I play with my self that day..... or Sunday I think I need to start going to Church because I'm on my way to hell..... But any other day I'm down!
