UNCONFIRMED FROM S-E'S BOOTH:
Geomancer, a tank job who creates shields using MP to reduce damage. The effect of these "shields" depend on geography, and weather as a bonus. After you activate this shield ability, your MP is consumed. However, Geomancers are mages, they only wear mage's costume.
The video shows that when it's snowing, an ability that acts like Ice Spike appears. This weather-related ability doesn't require MP like normal "geo-shield". Earth weather, you get free Stonskin. Wind weather, you get free Blink. and so on."

I told you guys that they would be announcing the expansion this weekend.
btw, they clearly show a new job in the video, and I'm pretty sure it is Blue Mage. It does spider slow, and fire breath.

Most people expect it in Spring of 2006; however, some people think it may be released simultaneously with the XBox 360 release of FFXI, which is expected at the end of 2005.
being as its september of 05 and we've heard so little of it right now i doubt it will come out this year, spring 06 sounds more accurate

Xbox 360 is due out nov 22nd I believe.
If they can put that expansion out that fast Id be amazed.
Then again they probably just do COP over again and release first 5 chapters of content and slowly finish off over the course of 5 years.

I read an article a few months ago that said that they started work on both Chains of Promathia and the following (at that time unnamed) expansion at the same time. If that is true, then they've probably had the expansion itself finished (or close to finished) for quite some time now.
That said, even if they are finished with the development, it will still probably be Spring before it is released to give them time for sufficient marketing, and to arrange for distribution and the like.
Geomacer, Blue Mage, Alchemist, & Assassin will be the 4 jobs added.

He interesting to see a job and a craft skirt the same lines.
Alchemist will learn Meteor, Doom, etc. Assassin will learn Last Breath, Ultima Masher etc. Geomacer can use Relect. You have to meet certain requirements to become the next jobs. Like Thief70 can advance to Assassin through a quest. Black Mages becomes Alchemists. Geomacers come from being both PLD70 & RDM70. Blue Mages must be WHM&RDM70.
