History of BC :O

Im bored so Im gonna do a little write up about how our LS came to be Q_Q-d

Around January after NA release I got FFXI as a present. I stared on Midgarsooewohorrorm but on the first day I died and someone LAUGHED at me and I was all sad so I quit Freja had given me a world pass to phoenix so there I ended up. Freja had a couple irl friends who played on Phoenix as well so to keep us all together Coraan made an LS, Mogophiles and our LS was born.

From the beginning we always did things as a group- Sub job quests, Kazham keys, Rank..were always duoed or trioed.

Sometime around Kazham we convinced Carmisse to start playing with us. Coraan was OMG HIGH LEVEL DRK and wanted someone to level with so Freja started leveling DRG since they got OMG FAST INVITES. Carmisse started leveling heavity too to catch up and soon they called on me to level hard so we could all static.

TEAM ALPHA was born AKA worst designed static ever lol. PLD (Rayj after our other PLD quit) WHM (Harmonia) RDM (Carmisse) DRK (Coraan) THF (Peachfuzz) DRG (Freja). While we leveled our linkshell Mogophiles started to become quite popular and we added Twizz and Shizune to our mix. We did EVERYTHING as a linkshell. I give you all this chatter so you understand we've been together forever and we all care about each other a stupid amount

When we approached level 70 some of us started to be courted by HNMLSs. Carm got invited to dawn, I got invited to 13 and we always gave the same answer: "Sure, if you'll take my entire static " The only LS who would take us all was Mission (later reformed as Spirit). We went on our first god run to watch and it was nuts! Mission had about 40 people there and we were very confused and Byakko was scary ; ;. Most of us just got to watch but we were all excited about joining on the day the LS was to be reformed, January 1 Q_Q-d

In anticipation I bought Carmisse some cursed greaves for christmas
... January came and no new parl was given out so we were all like "What gives " so we started toying with the idea of making our own! At the time we had an inside joke and I have no idea why it was funny but every 5 seconds we'd ask each other if their cosmos was burning Q_Q

"OMG is your cosmos burning? R O F L"

So obviously our LS had to be named BurningCosmos It was really just an idea for a long time, but no one really wanted to lead it so nothing happenned.

HNM FEVA!
We did our first HNM ever the Orc god just as an LS and it was SO much fun. We did it with 8 people I think... most of us were just lvl 70. I think after we broke our HNM cherry it was a lot easier to get things moving. We started to camp simurgh to get a pair or Strider's Boots for Twizz and to our surprise... we could do it! When we got that drop I think it was def one of the highlights of our time in this game. A lot of people would talk shit to us even then asking us why we had 16 people to kill Simurgh. No one believed us that our entire LS just wanted to help twizz lol.

So to make the other HNMLSs nervous we decided to make BurningCosmos to camp Simurgh. Really it was just a joke to make other people nervous Q_Q I made the LS so I could make it pink ^O^ unfortunately someone had taken the name BurningCosmos so we had a long drawn out battle over what to name it! Q_Q Ideas: Lessthanthree, RockSalt, MongolianChopSquad, OpoOpoMonkeyClan, but since we couldnt agree I decided to make it BurningCosmosss with 3 s so it looked intentional Q_Q!!

So we had our LS now we needed members! At the time our only goal was to kill Genbu to get carms abjuration haha. Freja had a pearl to TheCrazy88s LS so he wanted to bring some people from there We got Beorn (R I P) Lefiel Claymoore, Tyree (RIP) and Rafride (RIP)

Here is a screenshot of that first god run we killed Genbu and got Carmie's Abjuration and then we decided to be DARING and fight Suzaku!! We won easily even though only a handful of us were 75 and most were lvl 70-72 lol



That was our ENTIRE LS, with some people who just came to help

In the next weeks though it kinda became aparent that we needed more people...after winning our first Byakko we failed our second >_> I guess you need more than 1 BLM and 2 stuns haha... so we started to flesh out a little inviting Shadowmage and his baggage, Roku + Gaea.

We ended up killing Kirin the same week they joined. We realized that we killed kirin before most NA HNMLSs on the server and thats when we really realized we had something special.

we decided to go on BC full time and gave everyone with a Mogo pearl a BC pearl Q_Q thats why you see n00bs like Celeblin with da pink


I should probably mention that I threw away our first incarnation by mistake because FAGMAN (AKA Fatman AKA BLM jesus AKA he-who-breaks-walkmen) totallymade the DB pearl the same colour to GIVE ME grief ; ;

The next couple months were kinda frustrating... bigger HNMLSs laughed at us and we could never get a pull.. but we finally were able to get Fafnir to ourselves some nights in a row, and after killing him easily we realized , hey we can do this HNM thing.

So yeah, that lead us to Tiamat... at the time a lot of the major HNMLS were teaming up trying to kill him, some tried over and over again to fail and we made up our minds to be the first NA on server to kill. We really didnt know ANYTHING about Tiamat. I tried asking my friends on other servers and they just said "sorry LS secret" so we went in blind with a couple of ideas. Our strat changed and went from "this really doesnt work lol" to YESS I think we can do this . 2 SMN 2 WHM 30ish people (our whole LS lol) and 9 hours = dead wyrm

Then Jorm! We realized he required more strat but was overall easier, when we beat him we realized we pretty much could have any mob in this game dead if we wanted which lead to Vrtra.

When I asked my friend on another server if he had any advice this is what he said to me: "You will NEVER be able to beat Vrtra with 30 people. Not your first time. Be prepared to lose EXP." But we ended up killing Vrtra with 30 people anyways and well here we are today

In the end we stay true with our vision of an LS: We have about 35 TOTAL people in our LS (yet some people keep insisting we have 50? Whats that about haha) all awsome, skilled players who realize that skill will always win out over numbers

Plus we'd never partied with SAMs because we only staticed lol Only SAM we knew was fluke and he always talked about how much they sucked

Granted having Fluke as ones only samurai contact would distort ones view on the usefulness of a katana. Still though we all learned something very important that day: Boner is never wrong and should never be questioned. Now rename the LS BonerCosmosss and make this the new insignia

Just wait till you hear about the huge "me and ataka" ls I was in all the way up until I got into fabulous game-saving 88's.

wow thats quite possibly the most disgusting pic ive ever seen in my life and ive seen sum really disgusting shit in my years. gonna have nightmares now beo ;; other than that tho the story is so great every1 should learn more about the history of bc and the many cool ppl that make up bc. i want to say thank you for letting me, a lowly elvaan blm (wtf elvaan blm HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA) stalker of Freja ever since that first dunes pt, into this ls. ive beared witness to sum pretty spiffy things in my time in this ls i nvr thought it ever see personally in my intire ff career. im very glad to be apart of this ls. im also equally glad i didnt take starlets up on their offer to join too>_>
